Selectmen’s Meeting

March 13, 2007  Tuesday    3:30PM 

Selectmen present:  Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Code Enforcement officer Duane Ford.  Access committee members: Neil Davis, Barbara Grindle, Basil Bowden and Diane Kornmeir. 

  1. Approved the minutes of the March 8, 2007 selectmen’s meeting.

 

  1. Selectmen and Access committee members discussed the various legal definitions of road access.  CEO Duane Ford provided a handout which covered several of the options.  Discussion also centered on obtaining a Department of Environmental Protection permit to start cleanup work at the town beach.  Mr. Ford will pursue the information we need to obtain the permit.  Selectman Jagger will obtain a “best practices manual” from the DEP which will outline our best course of action in developing a soil erosion plan. 

 

  1. Selectmen discussed the damaged culvert on Carter Point Rd.  It was agreed that we would have to replace the existing stone culvert in order to make the roadway wider.  We will discuss the options with Road Commissioner Carter.

 The meeting was adjourned at 5:30PM
