SEDGWICK PLANNING BOARD

October 13, 2009

 

The Sedgwick Planning Board met on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Sedgwick Town Office.  Present were Board members Palmer Little, David Webb, John Allen and Alternate James Wood.  Also present:  Alden Astbury, Matthew Freedman, and Barbara Grindle, Selectmen’s Assistant, CEO Duane Ford.

            The meeting was opened at 7 pm by Chairman Little.

Map 7, Lot 32 – Alden Astbury received an application for the building of a café on the corner of the Ridge Road.  He is going to cap over a foundation and build a leach bed this fall and begin the building process in the spring.  He made out and paid for a building notification form and was given some instructions regarding the application for the café.  He needs to send certified letters to all of the abutters.

Map 6, lot 32 – Matthew Freedman, representing Janice and Gary Kath’s application for a house.  The application was given to the CEO for inspection.  They have a permit for the septic system.  The house has been designed to conform to the adjacent brook.  It is more than 150’ from the river and the septic system will be more than 250’ from the river.  An application fee of $25 was paid.

Map 10, lot 12 – CEO has received and checked on plans for a garden shed on the Reach Road.  Fees for the building notification form and the application for a building in the shoreland zone were received from Stephen and Shirrin Blaisdell.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
