Planning Board Minutes, October 14, 2014 (unapproved)

TOWN OF SEDGWICK

PLANNING BOARD MEETING

October 14, 2014

In the absence of Chairman John Allen, Michael Rossney opened the meeting at 7 pm and declared a quorum present.  Planning Board members present were:  Michael Rossney, Robert Jones, Peter Neill, Richard Duffy and Peter Atherton, Alternate.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford and Secretary Barbara Grindle.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

NEW BUSINESS:  There was no new business before the Board.

OLD BUSINESS:  The Thoner building is taking shape.  He has not picked up his permit or paid the fee.  He may still be in Italy.

CEO REPORT:  Mr. Cutting is building the garage that will eventually hold the old fire engines that Mr. Hunneman had acquired.  No commercial activity is anticipated.

There is a possible violation on some property on the Salt Pond.

The Board feels that the Caterpillar Initiative group should come to the Board and at least explain what they have envisioned for the top of Caterpillar Hill, especially in view of the fact that they are accepting money for their program.

Rossney asked what was going on at the Springer property on Caterpillar Hill.  Last winter there were bears occupying the place.  That could create a health and safety problem if allowed to continue.  The property is not large enough to put a well and a septic system on.

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.

                                    Barbara Grindle, Secretary
