TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

November 6, 2014

 

            Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, Tax Collector Pat Gross, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Robert Jones.

 

            Read and approved the minutes from last meeting.

 

            Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $15,830.76.  Salaries and ballot clerk pay accounted for $9,190.53, fire department expenses, $941.86, and general assistance expenses, $281.29.

 

            NEW BUSINESS:  Grindal signed four concealed weapons permits.

            Sent the surveyor bill to the Walker Pond committee for payment.

            The Benjamin River Apartments have no backup power for their all-electric apartments.  CEO will check to see what authority the town has for getting them some help when the power goes off.  Some people were out for nearly a week during this storm and the residents of the apartment complex are handicap and senior citizens. 

            Road commissioner will have the trees and limbs cleaned up and will burn them behind the salt and sand pile on the town land. 

 

            CEO REPORT:  Has written a letter to the Caterpillar Hill Initiative to try to get a timeline on their plans and to remind them that they need to come to the planning board meeting on the second Tuesday of the month before they start to break ground.  They are accepting donations and their plans have not yet been permitted by the town.

            Following up on the fee schedule for the ordinances.

 

            ADJOURN:  There being no further business, it was moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn this meeting at 6:45 pm.
