Planning Board Minutes, Jul, 2013

TOWN OF SEDGWICK
PLANNING BOARD MEETING
July 9, 2013

Planning Board members present:   Chairman John Allen, Secretary Sylvia Wardwell, Michael Rossney

Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Selectmen Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith and Assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle

With the resignation of Steve Astbury, which the chairman announced, the absence of Peter Neil and Peter Atherton, there was no quorum, therefore, no official business was transacted.

The CEO reported on several things going on in town, and the chairman asked if the board members present had examined the site plan review toward ordinance updates.  The selectmen have several townspeople in mind to fill the empty seat on the board, and are looking for volunteers that might be interested in the seat as well.  They also reviewed the problem of jet skis on Walker Pond and stated the process to get them removed.  This is a situation for adjacent homeowners who are objecting to the jet skis to contact their legislators and have the state review the problem.  The town does not have the authority to remove them.  The Pond comes under the Great Ponds Act and is regulated by the state.

There being no business conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 8 pm.

Barbara Grindle, Assistant to the Selectmen
