SEDGWICK APPEALS BOARD     March 25, 2009

Members present:  Pam Johnson, Tom Schroth, Steve Tobey, Dan Weed, and Chairman Fred Marston.

Also present:  Court reporter Karen Dube, Attorneys Cliff Goodall and Jim Patterson, Packet reporter Jon Thomas and Mrs Thomas and Assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle.

The Sedgwick Board of Appeals met at the Sedgwick Town Office on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 for their final meeting regarding the Four Winds/Maine Trust appeal.  The meeting was called to order at 6:45 pm by Chairman Fred Marston.

Town Attorney James Patterson presented the final copy of the Findings of Fact and Decision to the Board members for their approval.  With just a few minor changes, the copy was accepted as a document reflecting the opinions of the Board.  There is a copy of the Findings of Fact and Decision at the Town Office for viewing during regular office hours.

The Board voted 4 to 1 to deny the shoreland zoning applications for Twister, Squall and the Directors Cabin.  They also voted 4 to 1 to deny the 30% expansion applications for the same three buildings.   The Board voted 5 to 0 that if they had not denied the previous permits, they would approve the Floodplain permits for the two cabins, Twister and Squall; there was no floodplain application for the Directors Cabin as it is above the flood plain.

If the Appellants wish to appeal these decisions, they have 45 days from the date of the original decision on March 10, 2009.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.

                        Respectfully submitted,

Barbara Grindle, Assistant to the Selectmen
