SELECTMEN’S MEETING
October 13, 2022

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Colby Pert, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted to accept them as written.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $89,234.80: education $73,930.20; town office repair $3,733.03; general assistance $1,415.16; Hancock Co. RCC $726.57; sludge $180; fire protection $9,249.57.

CEO REPORT: checking permit paperwork and trying to keep an eye on everything; a fence and shed on Reach Road needs a $5 permit; Ridge Road resident wants a chain link fence, no permit needed; contractor needs consult for a building on Harding Lane; following up on a deck placement on Middle Cove Rd; inspecting plumbing, solar panel installation, Walker Pond buildings, fences and replantings.

DISCUSSION ITEMS: 1) Audit Preparation Progress – in process. Tax collector getting material to auditor Monday, Astbury will check with auditor to see if he has everything he needs. Hope to have audit completed in November.
2) Unresolved Business – Received a letter regarding housing; b) drop box for voting has arrived; c) salt/sand lights moved and ready to be hooked up; d) getting a price for blocks for the salt pile, looking into Quonset hut prices; Stacy Emerton will plow Walker Pond road after storm cleanup, moved, seconded and voted to have Emerton plow for up to $7,000 for the winter. Brooksville will pay half of the plowing charge.
