SELECTMEN’S MEETING

January 13, 2022

 

Opened the meeting and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Bob Publicover, Michael Sheahan.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, Snow Contractor Chadd Blanchard, Christine diPretoro (by phone Jerry Wetterskog, Jeffrey Roth).

 

There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to accept them as written.

 

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant: administration  $9,186.54, fire protection $1,392.78, emergency management $75, town dock $700, general assistance  $167, snow $448, animal control $2,976, clearing not available            .

 

CEO REPORT:  Sent the letter to DEP as requested, we need a public hearing on the ordinance changes recommended by the Planning Board, board has set a time for one before their meeting on Tuesday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m.; doing research for the Black’s Pond owner so he will know where he can build, DEP will check out the property for exact locations; just juggling paper for people

 

DISCUSSION ITEMS:  1) Meeting with Snow Contractor Chadd Blanchard – Discussed road conditions and possible solutions.

2)  Town Business Meeting Timing/Considerations –  Decided to hold the elections on Town Meeting Friday, March 4, 2022 and wait to hold the business portion until later.  Audits are not finished and figures are not available for budget purposes yet.

3) Any Unresolved Business – None.

 

ACTION ITEMS:  None.

 

ASSISTANT’S REPORT:  None.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS:   DiPretoro discussed road conditions with snow contractor.

 

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m.
