SELECTMEN’S MEETING

December 14, 2023

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Susan Ford, Colby Pert.

Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

 

Moved, seconded and voted to accept the minutes of the last meeting as amended.

 

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $96,655.55: education $77838.87; tax collector $2340; Legal $4545; town office $288.97; $528.51

 

CEO REPORT  1)  Work seems to continue at the property on Byard Cove, will send letter to owner;  2) owner of 17 Rocks Lane asked plumbing questions regarding new construction;  3)  Trisha at Sun Dog Solar finally found the receipt for the plans at the DeSilvey property;  4)  Question from abutter on Black’s Corner regarding an excavator working, will talk with the excavator driver;  5) report on damage to blueberry fields on the Ridge done by vehicles, don’t want to close the field areas off but may have to do so to save the berry crop; 6)  Planning Board met Tuesday evening, had a good meeting.

 

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:  1) Audit Status –  Clerk/treasurer will check with auditors this week.

2)  ’24 Budget Schedule – Will wait until Astbury is available to discuss further.

 

UNRESOLVED BUSINESS:  Three more non-profit requests to go to the budget committee.

 

ASSISTANT’S REPORT:  Received notice that Lyndsey’s certification for tax collector will be presented to her at the annual meeting.  Congratulations, Lyndsey.

General Services audit Tuesday, the 19th at 1:45.  Barbara and Lyndsey will attend.
