Planning Board April 8, 2008

 

The Sedgwick Planning Board met at the Sedgwick Town Office on April 8 at 7 pm.  Present were Palmer Little, Chairman, Victor Smith, Sylvia Wardwell Secretary, Jim Wood, David Webb.  Also present were CEO Duane Ford, Selectmen Nelson Grindal and Tom O’Connor, and Assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle, Steve Thoner, Charles Read and Ann Flewelling, Candy Eaton and Blake Eaton.

            Map 4, Lot 5-1 – Charles Read presented plans for a 14 x 18 seasonal camp/studio.  The CEO has inspected and staked the location at 78 ft from the shore.  The information was given to the CEO for further inspection and permitting.  Permit fee paid.

            Map 5, Lot 104D – Application was made for a 3 sided steel building, 20 x 40, for a woodshed.  Given to the CEO for inspection and permit.

            Map 1, Lot 26 – Candy Eaton presented plans for 12 x 12 changing rooms on the shore of Walker Pond at Nichols Day Camp.  Also a 10 ft shed attached to the present building.  They will need a permit to remove the present boys changing room.  They already have a permit by rule from DEP.  The planning board requested a map with placement of buildings marked.  The applications were given to the CEO.  Permit fees paid.

            Discussion on a dangerous driveway on Caterpillar Hill.  No action taken.

            The board discussed having a wind-farm tower ordinance.

            May 3 has been set for a public inspection of the Four Winds/Patten property at 10 am,  Map 2, Lot 4, for the consideration of four Change Of Use applications and one Floodplain Management application.  There will be a public hearing during the regularly scheduled board meeting on May 13, 2008 at 7 pm for discussion and consideration of these applications.

            David Webb will be abstaining from decisions on this property.
