Harbor Committee Meeting Minutes 9/4/2024

Meeting at Town Office 5:00 PM

Present:  Desmond Ashman, Eric Sass, Josh Allen, Tony Everdell, Steve Blaisdell

Absent:  Justin Limeburner

• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Skip Eaton still waiting for the replacement pilings
• Ordinance for dinghy sticker fees to deal with those who don’t purchase stickers
  • Can it be available online – Selectmen working on it
• Can we do something about live-a-boards in harbor?
  • Call MMA (Maine Municipal Association)
• Need to cut-and-pave areas on ramp to dock
  • Desmond to talk to Paul Carter
• Inquire about infrastructure grants to improve dock for climate resiliency and maintain harbor facility for commercial use –
  • • Desmond to check with Stonington
    • Need to consider budgeting for a consultant to help with the grants
  • Raise the platform with steel pilings
• Concern about limit on finger piers and number of dinghies
  • How can we limit the number of dinghies
  • Check how many are actual Sedgwick residents
  • How many have moorings
    • Eric to check with Cindy
