Selectmen’s Meeting
July 22, 2008 Tuesday 3:30PM
Selectmen present: Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Selectmen’s assistant Barbara Grindle and Ricky Spofford.
- Approved the minutes of the July 17, 2008 selectmen’s meeting.
- Mr. Spofford discussed his plans to install wind generators on property he has purchased at the base of Caterpillar Hill. Selectmen recommended that he discuss his proposal with the Planning Board. Selectmen also reported that several residents have objected to the project for various reasons, from noise to disruption of the scenic view.
- Selectmen agreed to pursue an agreed value insurance policy for the new fire truck. The advantage is that the town would receive the true value of the truck as opposed to the book value, used by the insurance company.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:00PM.
