TOWN OF SEDGWICK
SELECTMEN’S MEETING
September 8, 2016

Opened the meeting at 6:08 p.m. and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Neil Davis, Colby Pert.  Also present:  Bob Publicover, Steve Fill, Tax Collector Elizabeth Gray, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.  Moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to accept the minutes as written.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $96,150.44; $2,790.55 fire department, $2,103.08 administration, $1,600 roadside mowing, $88,175.73 county tax, and $395.28 general assistance.

OLD BUSINESS:  The Walker Pond Committee will meet Wednesday and discuss the survey, a donation and the permit renewal.

The Harbor Committee has been told to get the signs they want for the dock and talk with the 911 officer about getting them up.  The dock road also needs a load of dirt,;the road commissioner will be contacted.

There will be a meeting with Jenn Paul from DOT, the selectmen and the contractor regarding the dock project.

NEW BUSINESS:  Discussed the budget process.  Davis would like to have a meeting with the department heads to discuss job description and efficiency.  Selectmen to evaluate each category, discuss needs and work toward budget process and goals.

The assessing agent will be here September 28 to assist anyone with questions about their tax bill.  Please call the town office at 359-2275 to schedule an appointment.

CEO REPORT:  CEO at the dentist’s office tonight.  No report.

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, the motion was made, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
