TOWN OF SEDGWICK
SELECTMEN’S MEETING
September 26, 2013

Opened the meeting at 6 pm and established a quorum.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith.  Also present:  Tax Collector Belinda Pert, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Fire Chief David Carter, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

Read and approved the minutes of September 17.

Signed the Treasurer’s warrant for $1,901.04, including $226.17 for general assistance.

 There was no one in for assistance from the Selectmen.

OLD BUSINESS:  1)  There has been no information from the computer guy.  Grindal will check with him.
2) Haskell Electric has been in to start the wiring.  New lights will be ordered soon at a cost of $250 each.
3) Tax Collector updated the selectmen on the possibilities of putting the tax maps and commitment book on the website.  She also discussed possible hours at the office.
4) The assessing agent was in the office last Friday and will be in periodically into the month of October to get the reassessment finished as soon as possible.
5) Voted 3-0 to sell the Polka Valley property if an acceptable offer is made.

NEW BUSINESS:  Fire Chief updated the selectmen on the inspection done by the Department of Labor.  The inspector was surprised how well the town meets all safety standards.  The Town Office was also inspected and a report will be sent to the selectmen of any possible violations for all of the buildings.
A special town meeting will be help on Oct 24th at the town office at 6:30 pm to vote on several articles.
CEO REPORT:  There is work to be done on the Wireless Ordinance, and the Subdivision Ordinance.  There is a need for more specifics, definitions, and fees.

There were no public comments.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 pm.
