TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

February 11, 2016

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal.  Also present:  Bob Publicover, Robert Jones, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, CEO Duane Ford, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle

 

Read the minutes of January 28 and February 4, 2016.  Moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to approve them.

 

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $3877.30; general assistance for $1,118.94, fire department bills for $817.14, administration for $260.61, and town office for $424.50.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  Selectmen and assistant reviewed budget and warrant articles line by line.  Assistant promised that the completed town report will be digitally transported to the printer before she leaves tonight!

 

NEW BUSINESS:  Road Commissioner checked on the budget figures for tarring the roads this summer.  He hopes to complete Old County Road, Hales Hill Road and Polka Valley Road.  Town has a 10-year plan for road maintenance and this would bring it up-to-date.

 

CEO REPORT:  Signed papers for a DOT sign, reported that the floodplain hearing notices have gone out, the newspapers (Weekly Packet and Ellsworth American) have copies of the Amusement ordinance which will have a public hearing on Feb. 18.  The hearing on the amendments to the site plan ordinance will also be on Feb. 18.  The hearing on the Floodplain Ordinance will be February 25.  Discussion on a project on Snow’s Cove Road that is coming before the planning board.

 

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, it was moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 pm.
