SELECTMEN’S Meeting

November 2, 2023

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Susan Ford, Colby Pert.  Also present.  Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

 

There being no errors or omissions in the minutes of the October 26 meeting, moved, seconded to approve them as written.  A change in the wording of the October 12 meeting was voted to approve as amended.

 

CEO REPORT:  1)  Took measurements at the Smith property on Black Pond;  2)  the updated inspection of new construction on Walker Pond involved minor changes and there was no need for a permit change; 3)  a landowner on Black Pond checked about the Peasley situation and the possible need for DEP erosion inspection on the road access to her lot.

 

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS  1)  Election Coordination – The lock to the outside box is frozen and the clerk can’t get into it, someone will take care of it; Pert will remove the screens at the

Town House; Astbury will see that fire and heat are on for election day; the Town House has been

cleaned and is ready for the election.

 

UNRESOLVED BUSINESS:    Special town meeting November 16 at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.

A public hearing for renewal of their permit for alcohol sales on premises at ECS (Eggemoggin Country Store) will be held at 7:15 p.m. November 16 at the Town Office.

 

ASSISTANT’S REPORT:  The Budget Committee chairman is preparing to start the budget process.   Assistant is working on disposal of old Town Reports.

 

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:19 p.m.
