SELECTMEN’S MEETING
January 9, 2020
Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Bob Publicover, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO/LPI Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.
There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 (Sheahan absent last meeting) to approved the minutes as written.
Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $103,328.33; education $95,676.19, animal control $367.70, administration $241.20, fire protection $783.19, town office $45, plumbing $285, fees $184, clearing m/v $5,698.75, m/v overpay $47.30.
CEO REPORT: DEP checking a violated permit, possible change of use from permit given, another DEP permit application has been given up, following up with DEP, A septic system question and a lost permit and then much reading and paperwork. Busy.
DISCUSSION ITEMS: DOT sand. Decided to place sand at the DOT station as part of the use of the building. Will have some delivered and see if they need more.
Worked on the budget for next year. Set a meeting with the budget committee for the 23rd of January.
ACTION ITEMS: Supposed to have visible changes in the Emera bill by now, but none seen. Sheahan will call the office to see why. LED streetlights being installed to save money.
Assistant asked about several reports that could go in the annual Town Report and reminded everyone that the deadline for reports is January 9 – today. Will send reminders to those not in yet. Print deadline is February 6.
