SELECTMEN’S MEETING
January 2, 2020

Meeting opened by Acting Chairman Bob Publicover and a quorum was declared. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Bob Publicover. Also present: Allison and Jerry Wetterskog, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO/LPI Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to accept them as written.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $58,011.79; salaries $7733.36, taxes $975.15, audit $1,669.50, stipends, planning board $1,200, misc. administration $281.46, Fire protection salaries $1,866.67, misc. fire protection $3,405.78, Snow $30,320.23, civil preparedness officer $75, town dock salary $700, town office $326.15, fees $166, clearing m/v $1937.50, i/f $564, h/f $119, animal welfare $88.

CEO REPORT: working with contractor on 633 Reach Road, need to remove old tank and fill in hole, but coming along. John Cullen of DEP checked several places on Reach Road and Carter Point Road; one a repair that has been repaired previously and is now more than a boathouse with the new repairs, contractors are working diligently with the good weather and lack of frost in the ground. Still doing a great deal of paperwork too.

DISCUSSION ITEMS: Blue Hill setting up a regional selectboard meeting to discuss the GSA tuition hike.

ACTION ITEMS: Short review of the budget for the town articles. Will wait for Sheahan to discuss more fully.

ASSISTANT’S REPORT: Discussed non-profit requests with Budget Committee Chair Schneider. Decided that if requests are not in by Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. they will not be considered in the Town Report.
Assistant will check the mail tomorrow for any last minute non-profit requests. The deadline was Dec. 31 and want to make sure that all requests are noted for the budget committee. Committee will meet with Blue Hill Library director Monday, Jan. 6.
