Also present: CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Tony & Sarah Everdell, Leslie & Garry Schneider, Doug Drown, Paul Trowbridge, Desmond Ashman, Wes Martin, Ryan Larrabee, (by phone Chris diPreteio, Jerry Wetterskog).

CEO REPORT: Nesbitts lost the corner of their boathouse again, will repair again; the two homes in the water on Shore Road (formerly Steamboat Wharf) were badly damaged in the Wednesday storm as were many roads and trees; much damage was done to the shoreline and the town dock.

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS: 1) Storm damage – town dock/waterfront – Everdells reported on the damage to their shore, as did Larrabee and Martin. Ashman described the damage to the town dock and suggested that if the winds expected Saturday were worse than the Wednesday ones that the dock may need to be closed. The damage was not erosion, it was washing away of the soil, and Saturday winds will be coming in with astronomical high tide.
2) Workshop with Budget Committee – Discussed the administrative budget with the budget committee.

UNRESOLVED BUSINESS: We have been notified that the tax collector, Lyndsey Dow, has earned her certification for tax collecting. She will be recognized at the Maine Municipal Tax Collectors’ and Treasurers’ Association (MMTCTA) newsletter and her certificate will be awarded to her at the 2024 MMTCTA Annual Conference. We are proud of you Lyndsey!

ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Barbara Grindle, Assistant
