TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMENS MEETING

February 8, 2024

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Susan Ford.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Mr. & Mrs. Larrabee, (Sargent Wood, Jerry Wetterskog).

 

There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted to accept them as written.

 

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $180,421.34:  town office $ 177.25; education $174,105.47; general assistance $1,847.08; administration $864.67; fire protection $3,886.87.

 

CEO REPORT:  Checked on the clearing at the end of Carter Point, the Larrabees are cleaning up a real mess and have a guide provided by DEP; Roy Boys Plumbing are repairing the sewer pipes at the Manheimer and Diana Marston properties on the Shore Road; Dave’s World checking to see requirements for a hybrid water heater; checked a potential bathroom and plumbing on Horseshoe Road; Everdell’s called about work to be done on the Carter Point shore.

 

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:  1)  Audit Update:  will not be done in time for the March 2 town meeting date.

 

2)  Warrant Article Workshop:  Worked on the warrants, budget articles and some that  need to be written.

 

 

UNRESOLVED BUSINESS:    Shore Road debris covering the road after the storms.  Selectmen will contact Road Commissioner to clear the road.

Will also check with Road Commissioner about trimming back some trees on the Carter Point public access site.

 

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:14 p.m.
