SELECTMEN’S MEETING

February 1, 2024

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Susan Ford, Colby Pert.  Others present:  CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle, (Jerry Wetterskog).

 

One typo in the records of the last meeting.  Moved, seconded and voted to accept the minutes as amended.

 

CEO REPORT:  Engineer McCullough followed up regarding a side set-back at Frank’s Flat;  visited Larrabee property on Carter Point to see what was proposed as tree cutting for their shorefront remediation for access to the shore; responded to landowner regarding a new bathroom on Horseshoe Drive, will set up an appointment to inspect the job;  met with DEP staff (Cameron Dufour, Dawn Hurd, and 2 others), and M.E. Astbury to review options for shorefront work on Carter Point; received a complaint from an anonymous caller re neighbor’s ‘permits’;  Attorney Wagner notified that sending a letter to violator on Black Pond.

 

DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:  1)  Audit Update –  Books not balancing, clerk/treasurer. Tax collector and selectman Ford working to check back records.

 

ASSISTANT’S REPORT:  Town report book on schedule, Compliance assistant did her first general assistance client.

 

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
