CEO Report
There will be a new soil tester for septic systems for our area, his name is Aaron. Going back to previous week discussion, if there is a fine that needs to be assessed only the Select Board has the final decision. The CEO also shared with us that the Town had the ultimate decision involving the shoreland zone despite D.E.P saying it’s okay.
The yellow building behind the piano shop is looking to sell their property and the abutters are looking to buy it and possibly turn it into a studio. If they were to do that they would have to go before the Planning Board.
DISCUSSION and/or ACTION ITEMS:
- There are 6 or 8 flags that are ready to be picked up at the Coal Transportation Museum in Bangor. They are already paid for, they just have to be picked up.
- The new Town Reports have arrived. There are nice booklets stuffed in the town reports with the corrected warrant articles.
- Town Meeting is Saturday June 6th. There will be no use of the woodstove. Port-a- potties will be delivered in time for Town meeting and staying for a week so the Restoration of Town Hall Committee can meet on June 10th.
- June 9th is the Primary Election taking place at the Fire House on the Ridge Rd. Susan has offered to order Dunkin Donuts with the Office credit card
Unresolved
- Dan mentioned that the “Slow Children” signs that were placed around really catches people’s attention
- Call Whites about the signs we ordered for Walkers Pond
PUBLIC COMMENT:
- The public was wondering if a Port-a Pottie would be delivered to the town dock. There was one delivered on June 4th.
- The public encourages other townspeople to sign up for the new letter to stay on top of alerts.
- From the previous meeting the public would like to know if we would be sending in information to Avery from the grants for solar and battery back up. Avery forwarded the material to the Select Board and they have decided to not do it this year because one week to get information together was not enough time but maybe next year they will look into it.
ADJOURN:
Motion and 2nd to adjourn at 6:26pm. 3-0 approved.
