CEO Report:
Call from Fanny May property manager- policies of feds have changed regarding 619 Reach Road whether to tear it down and rebuild. Duane went by and men were still hauling trash out of the building. The state will allow some sort of septic to be put in since it has been habitable. Received a check on the ramp work for the project on Ferry Landing. The contractor feels that she is three quarters of the way done. Lots of activity going on in Sargentville on the Silvermine road. Duane will let the folks know the town is aware of the projects going on. Lots of calls people ask about building projects going on. Duane will have Manheimer ready with a new application at the next planning board meeting as the plans have changed significantly since the original application.
Discussion and/or Action Items:
- Discussion about the Treasuer and Deputy Clerk position possibly being one position: Lyndsey asked the board to consider the possibility of making a combined position for Treasurer and Deputy Clerk positions into a full-time position. There have been folks who would have applied had the fulltime with benefits been offered. Lyndsey was unaware of the arrangement made with Rita from Penobscot but thought that having a backup plan or something to work toward would be a good idea. The board will consider all options and discuss this at a later date.
- Prep details for the Town Meeting Election on March 6: Lyndsey has workers arranged for next Friday: Warden, two ballots’ clerks (to check in voters) and someone to assist at the ballot box. Lyndsey will order a porta potty and ask David about firewood as well as clean and set up for voting day. There will be a sandwich board sign at the Town office for voting information.
Public Comments:
K. Stark asked about the invasive plants- Susan is still trying to get in contact with the project facilitator.
N. Moses asked about the draining of the ditches on Reach Road, board advised that this was a state route and that DOT would oversee this, no immediate plan for this to happen. Lyndsey will attempt to contact DOT and ask about this along with letting them know that there are road signs on the side of the road at the North Sedgwick Road and Reach Road.
Adjourn:
Motion and 2nd to adjourn. 3-0 approved at 6:25pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
Lyndsey Dow
