Sedgwick Planning Board Meeting.Jul. 8, 2008

 

            The Sedgwick Planning Board met at the Sedgwick Town Office.  Present were Chairman Palmer Little, Secretary Sylvia Wardwell, Vice chairman Victor Smith, members John Allen and David Webb and alternate James Wood.  Also present were CEO Duane Ford, Selectman Tom O’Connor, Jonathan and Mrs Thomas from the Weekly Packet, assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle, and Brian and Jillian Tripp.

The meeting was called to order at 7 pm.

            Map 11, Lot 64A – The Tripps presented an application for a driveway to the house they wish to build.  All property is outside the 250 ft shoreland zone.  Their application was approved and the permit signed.  They paid the $25 permit fee.  The contractor will contact the Road Commissioner for the proper culvert size.

            Chairman Little presented the Board with a copy of the letter to be sent to Mr Goodall, lawyer for the Patten/Four Winds, Map 2, Lot 4, regarding the Board’s decisions last month.  The Board approved the letter and all signed it, with the exception of David Webb, who has abstained from all of the applications in this case.  The Assistant to the Selectmen was asked to send the letter to Mr. Goodall, with the date the letter is received starting the 30 days for an appeal to be filed.  CEO Ford also showed the board the letter that he had sent to Mr. Goodall.  The Board also agreed with this letter.

            Map 4, Lot 5-5 – Raymond and Stella Akscin application to build a deck and a barn on their property has been checked and approved by the CEO. 

With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
