Selectmen’s Minutes, Thurs., Oct. 30, 2008
Town of Sedgwick Maine
Selectmen’s Meeting
October 30, 2008 Thursday 6:30PM
Selectmen present: Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Selectman’s Assistant Barbara Grindle and Clerk/Treasurer Cindy Reilly.
- Approved the minutes of the October 28, 2008 selectman meeting.
- Selectmen voted 3 to 0 to approve an escrow agreement between the towns of Sedgwick and Brooksville and voted to accept a check in the amount of $12,500. The check is to reimburse Sedgwick for one half of its expenses in developing access to Walker Pond. Sedgwick voters had approved $25,000 for that purpose at a special town meeting in July of 2007. The agreement also provides for Brooksville to deposit a check in the amount of $107,500, in an escrow account. This amount represents Brooksville’s portion of one half of the appraised value of the Walker pond property.
- Approved the treasurer’s warrant (#18) in the amount of $82,806.42. $41,234.25 of that amount was for school expenses.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Tom O'Connor
