Selectmen’s Meeting

August 7, 2008  Thursday  6:30PM    

Selectmen present:  Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor.  Other participants:  Clerk/Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Selectmen’s assistant Barbara Grindle, Plow contractor Andy Gray and Bette Britt of the Weekly Packet. 

  1. Approved the minutes of the August 5, 2008 selectmen’s meeting.

 

  1. Selectmen and Andy Gray completed paperwork to transfer ownership of the town’s plow truck to Mr. Gray. The purchase price was $15,000.   Mr. Gray also wanted to know the policy on sand use at the town sand pile.  Selectmen were in agreement that the sand is for sanding town roads only.  Gating to road to the sand pile was discussed.

 

  1. Signed nomination papers for Steve Toby, appointing him to another term on the Budget Committee.

 

  1. Reviewed and approved the treasurer’s warrant (#6) in the amount of $55,328.50.  #35,500.72 of that amount was for school expenses.

 The meeting was adjourned at 8:30PM.
