TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

May 8, 2014

 

 

Opened the meeting and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal.  Also present:  Robert Jones, David Anderson, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

 

Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.

 

Treasurer out sick, no warrant available.

 

Anderson spoke to the selectmen regarding the letter he had sent and had received no answer to.  He and Grindal discussed the selectmen’s raises and the timing thereof.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  Tax Reassessment – Assistant will talk with assessor’s agent Caldwell.         

Town House Parking, mowing – Grindal will talk with Tobey Woodward.

Public Access Committee to meet Wed., May 14 at 4 pm at the town office.

 

NEW BUSINESS:  there was no new business to come before the board.

 

CEO REPORT:  CEO had been in Augusta most of the day at a Shoreland Zoning meeting.  The DEP will be working on a new ordinance, or a revision of the present one.  He is keeping an eye on several properties in town.  Nichols Day Camp is doing a lot and they will need permits for most of the work.  CEO made a point of saying that DEP permits do not supercede town permits, in fact, the DEP is saying that they will not give any permits until all necessary municipal permits are procured.
