SELECTMEN’S MEETING

July 15, 2021

 

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Ben Astbury, Bob Publicover, Michael Sheahan.  Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Jerry Wetterskog, (by phone Jeffrey Roth).

 

Moved, seconded and voted to approved the minutes of the last meeting.

 

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $3,995.58:  administration $1,053.10, fees $187, clearing/mv $1,350.50, sludge $60, fire protection $1,277, town office equipment $37.98.

 

CEO REPORT:  Did a zoom training this week, 156 Carter Point needs a DEP permit, lots must have 1000’ on the water, and 30,000 sq ft, will send explanatory letter; steps to the shore need a DEP permit by rule, Planning Board had a work session on ordinance changes before their regular meeting last Tuesday.

 

DISCUSSION ITEMS:  1)  Snow’s Brook Culvert Meeting –  Shutting down for water, tree trimming for power lines needing to be moved, may need to remove another tree, more signage needed, especially for Roaring Lion and the school, complete road closure will depend on Versant’s removal of power lines.

2)  Any Unresolved Business:  Discussed Hancock County Planning Commission dues.

Also discussed the Hazardous Waste program – have clerk send questions out via Mailchimp to see if there is any interest before paying for participation.

Astbury will contact Woodward regarding replacement of back door.
