TOWN OF SEDGWICK
SELECTMEN’S MEETING
February 13, 2020

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Christine diPretero, John Allen, Jerry and Allison Wetterskog, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

There being no errors or omissions in the record of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted 2-0 to approve them as written.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $40,608.82; m/v clearing $3,114.90, fees $132, snow $30,320.23, James Wadman, CPA $4,920.50, misc administration $120.64, general assistance $1,722.05, town office $278.50.

CEO REPORT: Discussed a letter from the law office representing a landowner, discussed an issue with another landowner on the phone, DEP meeting with owners and contractors, and the need for a DEP permit for some tree cutting on Carter Point. Planning Board pre application for a possible solar farm.

DISCUSSION ITEMS: Representatives from the Healthy Ecosystem didn’t arrive.
TRIO Demonstration date: Representative would like to do the demonstration on a Friday. Sheahan will check on a possible date.
Town Meeting Notes: Sheahan and Astbury working on explanations for warrant articles.
Sheahan attended Broadband meeting with representatives from GWI and USDA. Discussed the applications that were rejected and GWI will get back with a decision about possibly going forward with a second application.
Astbury attended the GSA forum. The committee from the sending towns that is being formed to discuss the tuition increase needs to start discussions. An audit has been received, but no breakdown of expenses yet.
Allen had questions for the assessing agent about tree growth renewal. Astbury will call agent.
