CEO Report:

Duane got in touch with DEP regarding an additional site visit to Mr. Scott’s proposed campground. Will be reporting back on this as it is a very important project. Mr. Scott is doing his part to make sure the checklist is being satisfied completely. Amy Fisher of Franks Flatt contacted Duane regarding a small building- he recommended she be in touch with a professional because of the area. Daryl Asbury called Duane regarding a propane radon filtration system being put in on Means hill- Duane informed him that there is no rule in Sedgwick regarding this, its not required but is allowed.

Discussion and/or Action Items:

  1. Jared Benjamin re: Glampground- Benjamin provided a letter to the Select Board along with petitions regarding the Glampground proposed for 232. Caterpillar Hill Rd. The letter represented a group of people in opposition and their reasoning. The discussion was lengthy but productive, there was some information that was being miscommunicated and the Board cleared that up with the attendees and asked that they do their best to spread accurate and true information to the concerned citizens. Some of the material presented in the letter had already been satisfied by Mr. Scott during the Planning Board work session where they went through the check list, provided feedback and asked that by the next meeting additional information be provided. There was nothing voted on, rather the petitions to be passed on to the Town Clerk to certify the signatures. The select board will revisit this next week once Lyndsey has an opportunity to certify them and give the board a recommendation.
  2. Member of Appeals Board- The Select Board discussed who the members were on the Appeals Board and the need for additional members. Susan and/or Barry will reach out and ask the active members for recommendations as well as have them prepare for potential appeal.
  3. Quarterly Town Newsletter- Lyndsey has been researching templates, and once Sabrina starts and is acclimated, she will be able to help prepare the newsletter. The hope is to put something out on a regular basis to keep people informed and hopefully gain more involvement in the town processes.
