Sedgwick-Brooksville Town Landing Committee minutes for October 8, 2020

Meeting opened at 5:30pm. Adjourned at 5:55pm. Members present: Michael Sheahan, Ben Astbury, Robert Publicover, John Gray, Hal Snow, John Kimball

Actions Taken:

Motion to accept minutes of the September10th meeting. All in favor.

Motion to have Todd Bewig look at the float for repair.  All in favor.

Motion to have Bob Gray pump outhouse at end of season and remove objects. All in favor.

Discussion:

Ben: Checkbook balance looks good and on pace.

John Kimball: On track to have conducted over 1000 inspections this season compared to 650 last year, and payroll for inspections is up accordingly. Floats and docks will be pulled after Indigenous Peoples Day. One of the docks will need attention before reinstalled next year; one of the floats is punctured.

Budget discussion for next year:

Ben: We’ve got a healthy balance this year.

John Gray: Perhaps drop the amount to $15,000?

Hal: Will there be expenses related to the new facility at the Walker Pond Outlet?

Ben: Will reach out to Ciona before next month and also ask about how the construction project is impacting the water level.
