Life & Times In A Coastal VillageThe Sedgwick-Brooklin Historical Society is pleased to announce that Life and Times in a Coastal Village, Sedgwick Maine, 1789-1989 has been reprinted.  The book was written by Sedgwick citizens and published in 1989 for the Bicentenniel of the incorporation of Sedgwick.  Its eighty-three pages of text, photos and illustrations provide a comprehensive history of Sedgwick. In addition to covering a number of topics significant to the growth and development of the town, there are interesting vignettes of life in its several communities that were prepared by residents of those communities.  The book is readable and well illustrated.  It is a popular history, not an academic work.  (Please note that the work is limited geographically to the present boundaries of Sedgwick.  Except in passing it includes neither Brooklin nor the part of Brooksville that was included in the original town.)

The original publication was sold out long ago.  Reprints are available for $20 each local pickup or $26.75 priority mail.  The book is comb bound and lays flat. Contact Anne Dentino at (207) 359-8900 or annedentino@gmail.com for more information.
