TOWN OF SEDGWICK
SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
March 1, 2018

Opened the meeting and declared a quorum present. Selectmen present: Ben Astbury, Colby Pert, Michael Sheahan. Also present: Bob Publicover, Fire Chief David Carter, Road Commissioner Paul Carter, CEO Duane Ford, Clerk/treasurer Cindy Reilly, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

There being no errors or omissions in the records of the last meeting, moved, seconded and voted 3-0 to dispense with reading the records of the last meeting and accept them as written.

Reviewed and signed the treasurer’s warrant for $43381.25; snow payment $29,142.86, salaries and administration $9,617.18 (969.15 for town report books) and $1,305.31 for general assistance.

NEW BUSINESS: Fire Chief Carter reported that the pre-paint inspection is Mar. 23. He had new photos of the truck as it was being put together. Will bring them to town meeting so public can see them.
Road Commissioner has fixed a bad spot on Sis Porter Road, checking to see if there are any more problem spots.

OLD BUSINESS: Road Commissioner would like to be present when DOT checks out the Hales Hill bridge.
Chris DiPretoro fixed a farewell supper for retiring selectman Colby Pert. All enjoyed the chili and fixin’s. Thank you Chris and thank you Colby. We will miss you.
Decided to stay with the same salt bid as last year if snow contractor agrees.

CEO REPORT: Making sure that final inspections are done on all plumbing and septic permits before being signed off. Many are forgetting that there is a final inspection that has to be done after the work is finished.
Town dock is as busy as ever been seen. Boats coming and going.

ADJOURN: There being no further business, moved, seconded and voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:13 p. m.
