Selectmen’s Meeting
June 26, 2008 Thursday 6:30PM
Selectmen present: Nelson Grindal, Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Clerk/Treasurer, Cindy Reilly, Selectman’s assistant, Barbara Grindle and Kelly Mitchell of the Caterpillar Hill initiative.
- Approved the minutes of the June 24, 2008 selectmen’s meeting.
- Approved the treasurer’s warrant (#52) in the amount of $66,553.76. $62,388.21 of that amount was for school expenses.
- Selectmen voted 3 to 0 to set the 08/09 mill rate at 7.9 which is up from the current rate of 7.491. The increase was caused by the cut in the state school subsidy by $200,000.
- Kelly Mitchell provided an update on her origination’s effort to purchase the Condon land trust property on Caterpillar Hill.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10PM.
