TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

February 5, 2015

 

            Opened the meeting and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith.  Also present:  Robert Jones, Superintendent Mark Jenkins, School board member Susan Ford, Budget members Steve Tobey, Leslie Schneider, Bob Comerford, Garry Schneider, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle.

 

            Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.

 

            The treasurer’s warrant was not present for signing.

 

            OLD BUSINESS:  Superintendent Jenkins presented the school budget with an increase of .49 percent.  A new teacher will be funded with the help of a portion of the carry forward funds.

The budget committee and selectemen congratulated the budget-makers for a job well done.

 

            NEW BUSINESS:  The budget committee examined the donation requests and recommended some changes.  The budget is now ready for inclusion in the town report.  The Selectmen thanked all of the members of the committee for their work on the budget.

 

            CEO REPORT:  Ford reported that he has been flooded with new information.  The new flood maps, expected much later, will be in the end of February.

            Next week the Planning Board will be meeting.  Must check to see if the CHI platform has been installed.  There is a planning board training workshop on March 30, hopefully some of the board will be interested in attending.

 

            ADJOURN:  There being no further business, the motion was made, seconded and voted to adjourn at 8:40 pm.
