TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

February 19, 2015

Opened the meeting and established a quorum present.  Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Nelson Grindal, Victor Smith.  Also present:  Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Tax Collector Pat Gross, CEO Duane Ford, Assistant Barbara Grindle, Robert Jones.

Read and approved the minutes of the last meeting.

Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $161,810.76.  $158,708.06 was for the school and $1,834.25 was for more salt for the roads.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:  Jones commented on the roads; they are as well cared for as is possible under the circumstances.  Salt and sand are nearly pointless with the wind and cold temperatures.  Even the salt needs warmer temperatures to work and the wind has been blowing the sand off as soon as it has been applied.

            OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:  We need some replacements for the Marine Resources Committee.  Appointments are made the first of April.

Signed the warrant for the Town Meeting.

Davis will get the dimensions of the treasurer/tax collector office and Grindal will draw up plans for repairs and renovations, starting with a handicap bathroom.

CEO REPORT:  CEO has written a letter to the owners of the Grayfield subdivision offering assistance in getting the correct paperwork together for the vacation of the subdivision by the Planning Board.  Selectmen approved the letter.

Notifying one of the tree cutting businesses to come to the town before doing any cutting.  This company has had a problem before, but all tree cutting in the shoreland zone needs to be checked by the CEO before any cutting is done.

ADJOURN:  There being no further business, the motion was made, seconded and voted 3-0 to adjourn at 6:55 pm.
