TOWN OF SEDGWICK

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

December 9, 2010

 

Selectmen present:  Nelson Grindal, Colby Pert, Victor Smith

 

Also present:  Road Commissioner Paul Carter, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, Tax Collector Belinda Pert, Assistant Barbara Grindle, several people concerned with the road conditions.

 

1)                  Minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

 

2)                  Signed the Treasurer’s warrant for $163,873.10; $135,840.85 was for education, $8,370 for Walker Pond, $1,300 for uncontracted snow plowing expenses.

 

3)                  Several people in to complain about the condition of the roads during and after Monday’s storm.  Everyone was in agreement that changes need to be made. If the job isn’t done right the contract will be terminated.  Selectmen will talk to the snow contractor, make changes for the rest of the winter plowing and inform him of the results of the meeting. 

 

4)                  Selectmen agreed on the right of way survey and deeds for the transfer for the Salt Pond access.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
