Selectmen’s Meeting, September 20, 2012

  TOWN OF SEDGWICKSELECTMEN’S MEETINGSeptember 20, 2012 Selectmen present:  Neil Davis, Colby Pert, Victor Smith Also present:  Tax Collector Belinda Pert, Treasurer Cindy Reilly, CEO Edward Michaels, Assistant Barbara Grindle 1)         Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. 2)         Signed the treasurer’s warrant for $60,144.60; $56981.44 was for education, $2,623.06 for a property tax overpayment. 3)         One citizen in for a weapons permit. 4)         Discussion with the CEO on the 4 Winds/Patten case.  CEO will travel to Augusta and seek an opinion from DEP to clarify their position and support for the town.  He will also speak with the town attorney on this case and hopes that the problems can be worked out. 5)         CEO has copies of the work stop orders and will issue them if resolution isn’t met within a specified time. 6)         The CEO has visited another site where work has been started and is checking on the boundary lines and relevant paperwork. 7)         Motion made to take no action on the DHHS case v. ELR Care of Maine, et al/Betlins v. ELR Care of Maine.  The vote was 3-0.  Blue Hill and Penobscot are attending the settlement conference, scheduled to take place on October 25 in Portland.There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.                         Victor Smith, 3rd Selectman
