Selectmen’s Meeting

March 20, 2007  Tuesday  3:30PM   

Selectmen present:  Bill Jagger and Tom O'Connor. Other participants: Road commissioner Paul Carter and   Access committee members; Neil Davis, Barbara Grindle, Basil Bowden and Emily Webb. 

  1. Approved the minutes of the March 15, 2007 selectmen’s meeting.

 

  1. A lengthy discussion was held with the access committee members regarding the steps that needed to be taken leading up to the special town meeting concerning Walker pond.  Committee members expressed a desire to meet, as a group with the town attorney.  Efforts are being made to arrange this meeting for the coming week.  A tentative date for the town meeting has been set for early to mid June.

 

  1. The Maine emergency management agency has asked for an estimate of clean up coast for the recent ice and rain storm.  Road Commissioner Carter who has been working on the clean up estimates that final cost will be $7,500.  A request for reimbursement of that amount was filed with MEMA.

 The meeting was adjourned at 5:25PM
