TOWN OF SEDGWICK

PLANNING BOARD MEETING

October 11, 2011

Planning Board members present:  Sylvia Wardwell, David Webb, Acting Chairman Michael Rossney

Also present:  CEO Duane Ford, Jon and Jane Thomas, Peter Smith, Andrew Thompson, Assistant to the Selectmen Barbara Grindle

The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Rossney at 7 pm.

Map 11, Lot 26 – Peter Smith, acting for the Klofft’s presented their application for a 20 x 20 shed that will be moved in 6 to 8 years to be replaced by a year round house.   The application was for the shed, a driveway, and underground power.  Rossney suggested that they reapply either before this permit runs out in 3 years or apply for another permit when they get ready to build the house.  CEO Ford has reviewed and approved the application.  There is no plan for plumbing in the shed.  Voted to approve the permit on the condition that the dwelling will replace the shed eventually.  A fee of $205 ( $200 for the shoreland zoning application and $5 for the building notification fee) was paid.

Map 2, Lot 10 – Andrew Thompson for Centerline Communications was asking for the signed permit for the cell tower on Caterpillar Hill.  The permit had been approved, but not signed. The Board was waiting for the removal bond, and Thompson said that the bond would be sent when the building notification was sent for.  They have a potential client and they would start putting up the tower in about 30 days.

In other business, CEO Ford reported that the Peninsula Power has been removed.  The test results were good.

The issue of the Spofford tower has been turned over to the selectmen.

The former Philip Douglass property is being looked at as a potential mobile home division.  No action until more information is available.

The former Alice Anderson house is going to be removed and replaced by a modular home.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.

Barbara Grindle, Assistant to the Selectmen
