It's the law: dog licenses. Deadline: 1/31/12 | Print |

By state law, all dogs over 6 months of age must be licensed.

The deadline, to avoid the state-mandated late tax, is January 31, 2012. The late tax is $25.00 in addition to the license tax.

Spayed/neutered dog licenses cost $6, while licenses for dogs who have not been spayed or neutered are $11.

Please bring proof of neutering or spaying and the current rabies vaccination certificate to the clerk.

Clerk's hours are Wednesday, 1:30 to 6 p.m., and Thursday, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., at the town office, or at home, 339 Graytown Road, on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30. OR: call the clerk, 359-2275 or 326-9012 to make other arrangements.

The clerk must provide a list of unlicensed dogs to the animal control officer in March. Please avoid additional charges by licensing your dog now.
