By state law, all dogs over 6 months of age must be licensed. The deadline, to avoid the state-mandated late tax, is January 31, 2009. The late tax is $15.00 in addition to the license tax. Spayed/neutered dog licenses cost $6, while licenses for dogs who have not been spayed or neutered are now $11. Please bring proof of neutering or spaying and the current rabies vaccination certificate to the clerk. Clerk's hours are Wednesday, 1:30 to 6 p.m., and Thursday, 2:30 to 7 p.m., at the town office, or at home, 339 Graytown Road, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30.
